i don't know

Three words: I don’t know. Well, actually, it’s four words: I do not know.

When last did you say those words?

Many at times, we avoid those words out of fear of looking or sounding foolish or unintelligent. So instead of saying it as it is, we make assumptions or lie.

One of my favorite characters, Don Draper, played by Jon Hamm in my all-time favorite tv series, Mad Men, said the words ‘i don’t know’ one too many times during the course of the series.

If you don’t know who Don Draper is, you should know that he is regarded as one of the most strongest, chivalrous and shrewd characters in television history. Don’t get me wrong, he’s very egotistical but he is a man of principles.

That man/character, Don Draper, thought me the essence of saying “i don’t know.”

Well, Kanye taught me too.

You see our societies tell us to always have an answer. We are fed with so much information that it is expected of us to always reply any questions we are asked regardless of the situation but sometimes, the truth is we just don’t know.

Sometimes, we don’t have the answers. Sometimes, the truth is we just need to study more, learn more, or experience more. Not every question needs an answer so don’t be afraid to say the words “i don’t know” when you have to.
