I’m Tobi, an author, ghostwriter, and journalist.
I enjoy writing books that inspire conversations about human relationships, motivate people to lead better lives, and raise awareness for important social issues.
A decade ago, I began my career as a journalist, covering stories about arts, culture, and entrepreneurship. My work appears in Maclean's Magazine, Douglas Magazine, Postmedia’s Interlake Spectator, The Manitoban, and The Uniter, amongst others.
While covering a story about a local author’s new book, I was tapped by a publishing company to work as a consultant.
As a publishing consultant, I helped authors develop their ideas into compelling stories, provided guidance on branding strategies, and ensured their manuscripts were ready for publication.
After seeing firsthand the challenges new authors face, I became a ghostwriter — partnering with authors to capture their voices and tell their stories.
Over the past eight years, I’ve worked on multiple memoirs and nonfiction books featured in major publications and news outlets such as ABC, The Huffington Post, and CTV.
I’ve also authored three psychological thrillers that explore the lines between sociology and psychosis. Canadian nonprofits have used my novellas as reference points and case studies for social awareness campaigns and conversations on domestic violence, endometriosis, suicide, and bystander apathy.
An avid fan of Jesus Christ, Linkin' Park, Matthew Weiner’s Mad Men, Dan Brown, Arsenal Football Club, and the Boston Celtics, I can often be found deep in thought or conversation about one of these entities.
I’m also a member of the Federation of BC Writers and the Association of Ghostwriters.
