LEAD

The suffix, -cracy, connotes a form of government, rulership or influence. Whatever comes before it defines its form. The life and times of several great individuals have been defined by their form of influence. Many of us want to be great and memorable like Nelson Mandela, Jeff Bezos, Napoleon Bonaparte, Steve Jobs, Anoka the Great, Dennis Mukwege and the lot.

We want to be great but we are not ready to be leaders. Every great person was/is a leader.

Written by Sam Adeyemi, LEAD is a nonpartisan explanatory analysis of leadership. It outlays, by excluding all manner of writing or storytelling complexities, what it means to be a leader and how to maximize your leadership experience.

At first, the concepts in this book may seem catabolic - forcing you to break down and get rid of all you know about being a leader - but as you peruse on, you will find that those same notions make up a crucible of knowledge. They form a basis from which you could create and attain success.

No matter what your position or title is, you have the ability to be a leader in your environment" - Sam Adeyemi

One of those tenets that you will part away with is the idea that only few are or can be or will be leaders. The author exposes this illusion and introduces the reader to a new realm. A realm where leadership isn't based on positional values, titles, statuses or power but on influence which is measured by one's character and competence.

All it takes is a vision. Vision is the heart of leadership, without it there is no leader. LEAD provides a guideline for all visionaries. Your vision has to be structured and based on principles. It has to be firm enough to be used as a leverage. This book teaches you how to use your principles-based vision as leverage to maximize success.

When success does not rest on principles, it is temporary." - Sam Adeyemi

Your principle-centered leadership is greater than you or your idea. It is for others. As you read this book, you come to terms with the fact that your influence and success is not about you. It is to be shared and used to bring out the best in others, to make lives better and to glorify God.

God wants us to glorify him from a place of influence. You cannot be Moses and Joshua all by yourself. You cannot solve all the world's problems. You cannot be a team all by yourself. Reading this book will help you understand the keys to delegating power and developing a great team that keeps developing.

If you do not delegate power, you are limited in your capacity to receive assignments from God" - Sam Adeyemi

This 80-paged manual is one of the easiest reads out there. It is straight-to-the-point and as insightful as it promises to be. Regardless of your career aspirations or how successful you are, you will need to know how to wield your God-given influence to fully maximize your success.

Within this book lies the secrets of great people like those mentioned in this article's first paragraph. Every great person was/is a leader. If you want to be great, you have to be a leader.
