the rollercoaster of entrepreneurship

What I think man learnt from civilization and industrialization is the endless possibilities that can be birth out of our creativity - and as decades went by, it became clearer and clearer to us that socialism wasn’t going to cut it. We needed to be capitalists.

The whole essence of capitalism is to allow individuals to be able to make investments and own means of profits. That sounds a lot to me like entrepreneurship. In other words, civilization and industrialization taught man how to become entrepreneurs.

I have only ran my business for close to two years now and before that, I was a freelancer for about 5 years, so I can speak from my limited experience and from what I have learnt from others. I think entrepreneurship is a giant roller coaster but it is one everyone should try.

This is how I see the journey of an entrepreneur, it goes from good to what the heck to bad to terrible to alright to great. Read that again and you’ll see that it actually goes from good to great but there is a whole lot happening between that. You have to be able to go through all that is between good and great to get from good to great. That’s the trick. The great will come but the terrible will come first.

So many people have tried to be entrepreneurs and failed and so many people have to be entrepreneurs and succeeded. What is the difference? Vision and Passion.

Your vision of where you want to be and your passion for what you do will get you from good to great as an entrepreneur.

The rollercoaster of entrepreneurship is not an easy one. It’s going to be a tough ride but you must hold onto your vision and passion and do all it takes to go from good to great.
