take action
In my current line of work, I get to meet a lot of people with great ideas. I’m talking about ideas that I know will impact lives and probably ‘change the world’ - as they say.
Yet, for every 10 people I meet with great ideas, only about 2 actually go ahead and do something about it and for my line of work, that’s pretty bad for business.
But beyond my business’ need for a more committed clientele is my amazement at the fact that the world is actually not void of great ideas, instead it lacks committed doers - I’m talking about people who are willing to take a chance on themselves and take action.
I’m not sure what the root cause of this is but I think it might have something to do with a sense of entitlement or mentality that things will just fall into place.
That is great optimism but I think such a mentality hinders us from having a sense of urgency. When we delay, procrastinate or refuse to take immediate action on our creative ideas - little by little, we may begin to lose the energy and passion needed to get those ideas off the ground.
Whatever creative ideas you are sitting on, make a decision to take action on it today.
