I'm Tobi, a professional ghostwriter.
I enjoy working with leaders, counselors, and coaches to share their stories and insights through books.
I specialize in ghostwriting memoirs and nonfiction that focus on personal development, human relationships, business strategies, healthcare, and socio-cultural issues.
Ghostwriting isn’t a novel concept.
For decades, ghostwriters have been helping celebrities and public figures write books.
These public figures understand the power of an expertly written, published book, the reach it gives them, and the credibility that it adds to their brand.
If they can do it, why can’t you?
Chances are you have a great book idea that you’ve been sitting on for a while. Maybe you haven’t had the time to sit down and write it, or maybe you’ve written parts of it but don’t know how to keep going.
With my support, you can make conceptualize your book idea, draft a compelling book, and become an author without typing a word.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve worked on over 20 books for leaders, counselors, and coaches, and I’ve observed experts have a unique story or a special approach to their work, but they struggle with finding an effective way to share it.
You may not have the time, expertise, or industry knowledge to turn your ideas and message into a book that captivates and engages readers. But that shouldn’t stop you from becoming an author. I am offering you a professional, simplified, and discreet way to articulate your thoughts and share your insights, experiences, and wisdom with the world.
I’ve worked in and around the publishing industry for almost a decade. I’ve helped authors navigate the complexities of writing a book, choosing the right publishing route, and using their books to scale their business.
If you need an expert to write, edit or coach you through the process of working on a book, I can help you.

I use a proven process that minimizes guesswork and ensures steady progress over time. This process allows me to partner with authors and maintain that collaborative relationship throughout the writing and publishing stages.
Here’s how it works:
Initial Consultation: We'll start with a free consultation to help me understand your project, goals, and expectations. This helps me gauge the scope of work and determine if we're a good fit.
Project Proposal: Based on our consultation, I'll provide a project proposal that outlines the scope, timeline, deliverables, and fees associated with the ghostwriting services. It will also include BISAC spread details, comparative analysis, and publishing routes to consider.
Strategy sessions: Once we have an agreement, we’ll meet for a strategy session. During this session, we’ll have an in-depth discussion about the broad strokes of your story, your visions for the book, the research materials needed, the content structure, and the personalities/characters involved in the story. We’ll also decide if we need to interview anyone else. This session will help me learn more about you so I can understand your voice and preferred tone.
Outline development: From there, I'll work with you to split your story into chapters and form an engaging narrative across the chapters. The nature and flow of the outline will depend on the specific genre and the manner in which we want to come across. For example, an outline for a thriller memoir may have to purposely conceal information at certain points and reveal them strategically at other times
Interviews/Writing: Once we've figured out the outline, we start writing. It's simple: Each week, or often as we decide, we meet for 90 minutes. During these weekly sessions, I interview you on a set topic from the outline, and then I go away and write. As chapters are completed, you’ll have access to them, and we can review them together as we go. While I'll also conduct external research and interviews if necessary, any materials and resources you can share with me will be appreciated.
Editorial: When our first draft is complete, I'll hand it over to my editorial team. My team includes a developmental editor, copy editor, and proofreader. There will be three rounds of revisions, one for each editor. Together, they'll review the draft and suggest edits for us to approve or deny, and in some cases, we may need to add more content.
Formatting: After editorial revisions have been completed, I’ll format the draft into an industry-standard manuscript which can be shared with a publisher or other third-party professionals.
That's my ghostwriting process, which can take anywhere from 3 to 9 months, depending on the type of book, author's availability, and depth of research needed.

I’m an experienced writer, storyteller, and business owner who only works with clients who truly want to make an impact. My clients have landed interviews on major media outlets such as Huffington Post and The Globe and Mail, among other publications.
With over 20 books under my belt, including #1 Amazon bestsellers, I’m very selective about the projects I take on.
When I sign on to a project, I’m fully committed to getting that project from ideation to publication. This means I work with you to make sure the book’s in excellent shape when it’s time to be published, help you navigate different publishing routes and options, and guide you through marketing strategies.
That’s my offer: to be your partner throughout this complicated process of writing and publishing a book.
-
My rate for full-length projects (50,000 words or more) starts at 20,000 USD. The rate for projects with a lesser word count varies and depends on a number of factors.
A 40% upfront fee is required before the project begins, with the rest to be paid in installments monthly or per deliverable.
Developmental editing starts at 0.03 per word, and my book coaching rates start at 150 USD per session.
Without stories, life will be without context and colour.
But brilliant stories aren’t reserved for the mouths and pens of a select few writers, broadcasters, filmmakers, or history buffs.
We all have stories within us. Yes, even you.
You have unique ideas, experiences, insights, or perspectives that you’ve allowed to fester in your mind for too long. And as a reservoir of stories, you have a role to play in adding context and colour to the world around you.
The problem is you probably don’t know how to share your story. Specifically, you don’t have the time, expertise, or industry knowledge required to write and share your stories in a book.
To make matters worse, writing is a complex process in itself. Keeping people engaged — just as you’ve been while reading this blurb — is an art.
It takes an artist to listen to your story and use it to craft a piece of writing that captures readers’ unbridled attention and spurs them to take action.
You’re the storyteller. I am the artist.
I know how time-consuming, arduous, and somewhat lonely the writing process can be. I understand the depth of creativity, attention to detail, research, empathy, and malleability required to write a great book — one that touches the hearts and minds of readers.
I know how gratifying, fulfilling, and life-changing it can be to complete, publish and share your book.
Consider the story you're yet to share. Think about the readers and audience you’re yet to reach. Imagine how much context and colour your story could bring to the world around you.
I’ve helped dozens of authors go from a blank page to a marketable, publishable manuscript to a bestselling book. But most importantly, I’ve helped people like you finally share stories they had let fester in their minds for too long.
How long will you let your story continue to fester? How long will you keep that story to yourself?
